Fethiye, based in Turkey's Muğla Province in Southwestern Turkey, is a popular Summer-Winter holiday destination. Close to Dalaman Airport and local historical sights it is a family favourite. The city centre is home to many hotels and apartments, as well as a few villas. A small but bustling place there is plenty on offer for all members of the family.
The world famous Ölüdeniz or Blue Lagoon beach is just over 20km away and is famous for not only it's crystal clear waters but also Babadağ mountain where many visitors paraglide from the 1900 metre high mountain.At the top of Babadağ is a restaurant where you can watch the famous view whist enjoying a beverage.
During the Summer months daily boat trips are available from Fethiye Centre, as well tours leaving at different times. Local buses are also available to neighboring areas such as Dalyan and Kaş, where visitors may spend the day. The city centre offers a wide range of restaurants that specialise in various dishes.
Kayaköy is a short journey by car or public transport. A once occupied town it was left deserted and the ruins of the old church can be seen today to wander. What is sometimes referred to as the ghost town it makes a lovely day out in the cooler seasons.
